Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an interim Quality Technician for the Fordyce, AR OSB facility. The role ensures product quality and customer satisfaction through 2026, with potential internal moves. 12-hour shifts include weekends and overtime, indoors/outdoors in all weather; tobacco-free environment.

Responsibilities include quality testing, collaborating with Team Leader, operating lab and heavy equipment, and maintaining production knowledge. CPR/First Aid training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily quality control tests per Georgia-Pacific standards and APA specs.
• Collaborate with Team Leader to resolve quality and production issues.
• Operate lab testing equipment and heavy/mobile equipment (forklift, manlift).
• Understand production processes and act as back-up Team Leader.
• Load and unload various raw materials.
• Communicate effectively in a team-based environment.
• Prepare technical documents such as letters, reports, and proposals.
• Work at heights up to 80 ft and in confined spaces for up to 12 hours.
• Follow safety/environmental rules including PPE.
• Perform lifting up to 50 lbs and climb stairs/ladders for up to 12 hours.
• Complete training to become CPR and First Aid certified.
