Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Oriented Strand Board plant in Fordyce, AR is seeking a motivated and safety-oriented Controls Systems Operator to support the Operations Team in the continuous manufacturing of OSB products.

The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts (Days 6:00am-6:00pm, Nights 6:00pm-6:00am), overtime, and weekend work as scheduled, with responsibilities including operating HMI systems, data entry, troubleshooting, and basic asset care while adhering to health, safety, and PPE guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machines or equipment using computer-based monitoring or control systems.
• Ability to monitor data entry into control systems and troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate HMI systems to defined standards and product specifications.
• Monitor data entries and alarms in control systems.
• Troubleshoot machines to optimize production and reduce downtime.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and keep the work area clean.
• Collaborate with team to meet production, quality, and safety targets.
• Operate around mobile equipment including forklifts as needed.
