Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Fordyce, AR is seeking a motivated, safety-oriented Controls Systems Operator to support continuous OSB manufacturing. The role involves operating HMI systems, data entry into control systems, troubleshooting, and basic asset care during 12-hour rotating shifts (Days 6:00am-6:00pm and Nights 6:00pm-6:00am).

The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machines or equipment using computer-based monitoring or control systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or data entry into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot machines to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area.
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment including forklifts and heavy equipment.
• Adhere to all plant health, safety, and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures including PPE requirements.
