Job summary

Wright & Filippis Ottobock.care offers a 24-month combined Residency program in the Detroit Metro area, focusing on continuing education and real-world O&P practice. New practitioners gain exposure to clinical and business information in a supervised setting, delivering quality patient care and professional service.

You will learn through hands-on fabrication, fitting, and post-delivery support while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements, preparing you for independent practice.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Orthotics & Prosthetics required.
• Strong knowledge of biomechanics, gait analysis, anatomy, physiology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver quality orthotics, prosthetics and professional services in relation to patient care.
• Assist in actual fabrication as needed to assure quality, fit, function, timely delivery.
• Perform fitting, including static and dynamic alignments.
• Instruct patients in use of device.
• Post-delivery service and adjustments for assigned patients.
• Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities.
• Maintain all patient charts and records of care and service.
• Adhere to safety regulations; HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
