Job summary

Ottobock provides a Resident opportunity at our Limerick/Royersford, PA clinic. This residency offers supervised real-world experience in orthotics and prosthetics, exposure to patient care, and hands-on involvement in fabrication and adjustments.

New practitioners learn clinical and business aspects while delivering quality patient care and maintaining patient records. The program emphasizes safety, compliance, and ongoing professional development within Ottobock.care.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, including vendors, providers, co-workers, and management.
• Exhibits strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with good judgment.
• Ability to work collaboratively and participate with a team approach.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with physicians, therapists, and patients.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver quality orthotics and professional services in relation to patient care.
• Assist in fabrication as needed to assure quality, fit, function, and timely delivery.
• Perform fitting, including static and dynamic alignments.
• Instruct patients in use of device.
• Post-delivery service and adjustments for assigned patients.
• Provide information to administrative staff to conduct reimbursement activities.
• Maintain all patient charts and records of care and service, current and complete each day.
• Identify and create improvements to processes to promote efficiency and productivity.
• Adhere to safety regulations; compliance with Medicare and other governmental regulations; OSHA requirements.
• Comply with Corporate Compliance and HIPAA responsibilities.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
