Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in the United States seeks a hands-on fabrication specialist to craft and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices in a workshop setting. You will work closely with clinicians and patients to adjust devices and ensure proper fit.

The role emphasizes hand skills, experience with small hand tools, and the ability to operate fabrications equipment while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
• Technical training school or 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate hand tools to perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated and off-the-shelf orthoses.
• Provide education to patients on the application, use, care, and expected outcome for DME products as indicated by physician instructions and manufacturer recommendations.
