Job summary

Hanger Clinic is seeking an Orthotics & Prosthetics Technician to fabricate and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices. You will work closely with clinicians in a workshop setting, focusing on hands-on fabrication using a variety of hand tools and equipment.

The role requires strong manual dexterity, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to manage tools and materials safely. Collaboration with clinicians and patients is essential for effective care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training school or 2 years experience preferred.
• Must be able to safely operate fabrication hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
• Handle ordering, receiving and inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses such as cervical supports and other components.
• Educate patients on application, use, care and expected outcomes for DME products per physician instructions.
• Contact vendors to order fabrication materials and maintain inventory.
