Job summary

Hanger Clinic is seeking a Clinician Resident to provide comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic care under supervision, while developing expertise across assessment, design, fabrication, and fitting of devices. You’ll work with physicians and the rehabilitation team to deliver high-quality outcomes in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or post-graduate certificate in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a CAAHEP accredited college or university is required.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver's license.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and post-graduate Certificate in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics from a CAAHEP accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians in the evaluation and analysis of a patient’s need for prosthetic or orthotic services; recommend treatment options to physicians when necessary.
• Examine and evaluate patient's needs in relation to disease and functional loss.
• Formulate design of prostheses/orthoses; take cast/measurements and select materials.
• Perform fittings, including static and dynamic alignments; adjust for fit and medical efficacy.
• Provide detailed clinical notes to patient records and assist reimbursement activities.
