Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to create and modify orthotics, evaluating patients of all ages and updating plans of care as needed. The role serves as a clinical resource for staff and students, with a strong emphasis on safe body mechanics and patient education.

New grads may receive a sign-on bonus, and relocation is available for moves over 50 miles. A valid IL PT license and BLS are required, along with ongoing education in acute stroke care as part of professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois (IDFPR).
BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association.
Required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

Assess and treat patients of all ages, creating and modifying orthotic plans of care.
Demonstrate professional conduct and act as a clinical resource for staff and students.
Educate patients and families using effective teaching methods.
Evaluate clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
Document examinations and treatments accurately in the EMR.
Coordinate with the care team and refer to providers as needed.
Complete department-specific tasks including orthopedic and neurologic assessments.
