Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
• Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) - IDFPR
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA
• Continue education related to acute stroke care

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages; develops and updates plan of care
• Demonstrates safe body mechanics and transfers
• Educates patients and families about care and discharge plans
• Performs examinations and documents outcomes
• Communicates with referring providers about progress and recommendations
• Completes daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR
