Job summary

AdaptHealth in Texas is seeking an Orthotic Technician to provide on-site customer service and assist certified practitioners with orthotic fitting per physician prescriptions. You will support Orthotic Fitters and deliver equipment while advocating for the patient throughout interactions.

Responsibilities include collaborating with practitioners, evaluating patient needs under supervision, fitting devices, and ensuring devices are fitted, maintained, and documented in patient records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• One (1) year of experience in providing customer services in a HME, health care setting, medical office, sports rehab, fitness, or retail environment is required.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence is required.

Responsibilities

• Supports orthotic practitioners in evaluation and analysis of patient need for orthotic services.
• May examine and evaluate patient needs under supervision to meet physician prescription.
• Perform fitting and minor modifications under supervision of an Orthotic Fitter or Physician.
• Assist Orthotic Fitters in evaluating device fit, function, and quality of work.
• Instruct patient in use of prescribed device.
• Enter patient demographic information in database for insurance verification.
• Deliver orthotic equipment to various locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
