Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Columbus, GA seeks a Clinical Aide to support certified clinicians in orthotic and prosthetic patient care. Under supervision, you prepare treatment rooms, assist with procedures, and help with fabrication and mold modifications.

You will handle inventory, complete accurate documentation, and communicate patient information to clinicians. This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork within our O&P clinics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service or patient-facing experience.
• Preference for allied health professionals (PTA, OTA, Athletic trainer, etc.).
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record.
• If licensed in a related allied health profession, may be supervised under Indirect Supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified clinicians in delivering patient care services under direct supervision.
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for clinical procedures.
• Perform technical fabrication tasks, including making and modifying molds.
• Execute treatment modifications, adjustments, and repairs as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Fit and provide soft goods items to patients.
• Provide alterations and adjustments to soft goods items as needed.
• Provide orthotics fitting services independently.
• Assist with selected patient follow-up care under clinician direction.
• Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care provided.
• Communicate patient information and care outcomes to the supervising clinician.
• Ensure all patient procedures comply with clinical protocols and standards.
• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory monitoring of prosthetic and orthotic materials.
• Coordinate with vendors to order necessary materials and supplies.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment.
