Job summary

Orthotics-Ltd is seeking an Orthotic Fitter to measure, fit, and adjust prefabricated orthotic devices for patients with musculoskeletal conditions or post-surgical needs. You will work under supervision, ensuring comfort, function, and proper device alignment while educating patients on use and care.

The role involves taking measurements, fitting devices, documenting patient information, and maintaining sterilized, organized work areas in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ABC-accredited Orthotic Fitter certification program preferred.
• CFo certification preferred.
• 1-2 years in a patient care or medical device fitting role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of orthotic devices, anatomy and biomechanics.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assess patients to determine orthotic needs based on prescriptions or physician instructions.
• Measure and select appropriate device sizes and models.
• Fit prefabricated orthotic devices and adjust for comfort and function.
• Provide patients with instructions on use, cleaning and maintenance of orthoses.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety regulations.
