Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a Referrals Representative to join our team. The role focuses on scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and coordination of referrals and prior authorizations within a fast-paced medical office environment.

The position emphasizes accurate documentation, strong patient communication, and collaboration with providers and staff to support efficient practice operations. Prior experience with Epic EMR is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in medical/administrative fields preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office, scheduling, or billing environment.
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred; knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification helpful.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain the Epic Referrals Work queue and prescreen for completeness and urgency.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate complex specialty referrals.
• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications as required.
• Collect copays and reconcile daily cash transactions.
• Document accurate patient information in the medical record.
