Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group seeks a Referrals Representative to join our team. This role coordinates referrals, schedules appointments, verifies insurance, and provides clerical support to clinicians and staff.

You will manage Epic referrals queues, obtain prior authorizations, collect copays, and maintain accurate patient records. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential in delivering a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years in a medical office, healthcare scheduling, or billing environment.
• Epic EMR experience is strongly preferred; familiarity with insurance verification and referrals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and maintain the electronic Epic Referrals Work queue.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate complex specialty referrals.
• Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications as required.
• Collect copays and reconcile daily cash transactions.
• Document accurate patient information and communications in the medical record.
