Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician to perform basic patient care under RN supervision. You will take glucose readings, assist with ADLs, and complete EKGs and Phlebotomy in accordance with training and policy.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and CPR certification (or obtain it within 60 days). Prior patient care experience is preferred, with a supportive team and comprehensive benefits offered from day one.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to read, write, and spell English.
• EKG and Phlebotomy knowledge or training.
• CPR certification required or obtainable within 60 days.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Take blood glucose measurements and monitor intake/output.
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient mobility.
• Conduct EKGs and Phlebotomy per policy and training.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly; attend in-services.
