Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will welcome patients, document histories, assist with exams, and coordinate care to ensure a positive healthcare experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma or MA credentialing pathway, licensure eligibility, and 0–1 year of clinical experience or 2+ years in a community clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an approved MA program or related credential.
• Current MA certification or eligibility; EMT or Paramedic licensure preferred.
• 0–1 year of clinical experience or 2+ years in community clinic if MA program not completed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
