Job summary

Cape Cod Orthopaedics Physical Therapy is seeking a detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Coordinator to join our orthopedic practice. You will liaise with patients, employers, insurers, and providers to manage cases from initial visit to resolution.

Responsibilities include intake, documentation, communications with stakeholders, appointment scheduling, and maintaining EMR records with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting. Experience in workers' comp and medical settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: minimum 2 years in workers' compensation, medical office administration, or orthopedic practice setting.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation processes and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of workers' compensation cases, including intake, documentation, and follow-up.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatment.
• Communicate with employers, case managers, adjusters, and attorneys regarding patient status and care plans.
• Schedule appointments and ensure timely completion of required forms and reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and claim records in the EMR system.
• Assist providers with disability ratings, work status reports, and return-to-work documentation.
• Monitor case progress and address delays or issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and practice policies.
