Cape Cod Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is seeking a detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Coordinator to serve as the liaison among patients, employers, insurers, and healthcare providers. The role manages cases from initial visit to claim resolution.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of workers' compensation or medical office experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with EMR systems. This on-site position supports orthopedic care teams with timely documentation and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in workers' compensation or medical office administration.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation processes and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of workers' compensation cases from intake to resolution.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatment.
• Communicate with employers, case managers, adjusters, and attorneys regarding patient status and care plans.
• Schedule appointments and ensure timely completion of required forms and reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and claim records in the EMR system.
• Assist providers with disability ratings, work status reports, and return-to-work documentation.
• Monitor case progress and address delays or issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and practice policies.
