Job summary

Cape Cod Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, PC is seeking a detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Coordinator to manage cases from intake to claim resolution. You will liaise with patients, employers, insurers, and providers to ensure smooth workflow and timely documentation.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in workers' compensation or medical office administration, strong knowledge of processes and medical terminology, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in workers' compensation, medical office administration, or orthopedic practice.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation processes and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all aspects of workers' compensation cases, including intake, documentation, and follow-up.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations for treatment.
• Communicate with employers, case managers, adjusters, and attorneys about patient status and care plans.
• Schedule appointments and ensure timely completion of forms and reports.
• Maintain accurate patient and claim records in the EMR system.
• Assist providers with disability ratings, work status reports, and return-to-work documentation.
• Monitor case progress and address delays or issues proactively.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and practice policies.
