Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by APRN Certification Centers and WV RN/APRN licensure eligibility.
• CNOR Certification and BLS with ALS training preferred.
• Acute care, surgical or orthopedic experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive and individualized care for orthopedic patients and their families in the inpatient phase of hospitalization and immediate post discharge in the ambulatory setting.
• Completes daily rounds; consults and/or pre-procedure/evaluations.
• Completes integrated assessments.
• Orders additional tests or consults as deemed appropriate with faculty collaboration.
• Performs diagnostic tests and communicates results following guidelines.
• Facilitates discharge planning and coordination of follow-up in clinic/hospital as applicable.
