Job summary

A regional healthcare provider is seeking an Orthopedic Technician II to assist in the treatment of patients with orthopedic conditions. Responsibilities include applying and removing casts, education on patient care, and performing various technical tasks under supervision. This full-time position requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and preferably three years of experience in orthopedics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a healthcare setting, preferably orthopedics.
• Certification in BLS is required.
• Higher qualifications in allied health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies, removes, and adjusts casts and splints under supervision.
• Educates patients and families on care provided.
• Follows sterile techniques for wound care and procedures.
• Documents treatments and manages medical records.

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an allied health program

BLS certification
