Job summary

Palomar Health Medical Group is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to perform routine clerical and clinical tasks within the clinic, including casting, splinting, and cast removal, while assisting physicians and other licensed providers to deliver quality care.

The role requires 3+ years in orthopedic care, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and NBCOT certification with BLS. You will handle setup, documentation, patient communication, and coordination with the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience Specialized vocational training.
• Preferred Education: Related certification
• Minimum Experience: 3 or more years' experience in orthopedic care in acute hospital or clinic
• Preferred Experience: 2+ years' experience in a related position
• Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider
• Certified Orthopedic Technician (NBCOT)

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clerical and clinical tasks within the clinic, including patient immobilization procedures (casting, splinting, cast removal) and assisting physicians.
• Maintains timely and accurate documentation of patient care and patient responses.
• Sets up and restocks exam rooms and prepares lab and X-ray results for physician review.
