Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Orthopedic Technician in Lombard, IL. This full-time role supports orthopedics with casting, DME fittings, and casting under fluoroscopy, while assisting in patient flow and routine MA duties as needed. Travel to Elmhurst and other offices may be required.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and casting experience; an MA background is preferred, with RO Tech certification pursued within 12 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduate of accredited medical assistant program preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience casting required.
• ROTC certification test within 12 months of hire date.
• Ideal candidate has Medical Assistant experience with casting duties and some physician-office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and place in exam room.
• Perform vital signs.
• Perform dressing changes.
• Fit required durable medical equipment (DME).
• Cast removal and cast/splint application.
• Assist with casting procedures under fluoroscopy.
• Speak with patients by phone and assist with problems.
• Educate patients on care.
• Support physician and office activities.
• If downtime, perform Medical Assistant duties such as rooming patients.
