Endeavor Health in Lombard, IL is seeking an Orthopedic Technician - Orthopedics - Days to join our team. This full-time role involves greeting patients, taking vitals, assisting with casts, fitting DME, and supporting physicians in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

You will participate in casting procedures under fluoroscopy, educate patients, and handle some Medical Assistant duties during downtime. Requirements include high school diploma, CPR, and prior casting experience; one year in a

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; accredited medical assistant program preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Experience casting in orthopedics or related setting preferred.
• Pass the Registered Orthopedic Technologist certification test within 12 months of hire.
• Ideal candidate is a Medical Assistant with casting responsibilities.
• One year of experience in a physician practice setting preferred.
• Evidence of leadership, problem-solving, communication, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and place in exam room.
• Perform vital signs.
• Perform dressing changes.
• Fit required durable medical equipment (DME).
• Cast removal, cast and splint application.
• Assist with casting procedures under fluoroscopy.
• Speak with patients over the phone and assist with problems.
• Educate patients on care.
• Support physician and office activity.
• Downtime duties may include some Medical Assistant responsibilities such as rooming patients.
