Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to support physicians in treating fractures by applying casts, splints, braces, and traction, across cast room, operating room, outpatient clinics, and divisions.

Responsibilities include assisting with orthopedic surgical procedures, upholding patient service standards, and working in a team to support diverse patient needs; requires high school diploma and two years experience as orthopedic technician.

Qualifications

• Two years’ full-time Orthopedic technician experience with casting and traction.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation to satellite locations.
• Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of backgrounds.
• Evidence of professional continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Assist with applying casts, splints, braces, and traction equipment.
• Set up traction equipment and assist in the cast room, operating room, outpatient clinics, and divisions.
• Assist with various orthopedic surgical procedures.
