Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to support orthopedic care across multiple hospital locations, including Chicago-Bucktown, Swedish and Skokie locations. The role involves casting, bracing, patient education, and EMR documentation, with a focus on geriatric, pediatric and general patient needs.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians and staff, handling casts, preparing surgical packets, and ensuring policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year of experience in a physician practice setting preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• OCNS-C orthopedic nurse specialist certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, PAs and nurses in orthopedic patient care.
• Apply and remove casts and braces, and perform dressing changes.
• Prepare patients for physician visits and document in EMR.
• Maintain sterile fields and prepare surgical packets in advance.
• Communicate with patients and team; support lab and inventory tasks.
