Endeavor Health in Chicago-Bucktown is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to assist physicians and nurses with orthopedic patient care, casting, bracing, and splinting. This includes patient prep, vitals, EMR documentation, and coordination with multiple hospital locations.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year in a physician practice preferred, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to work rotating shifts with some travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• High School required.
• 1 year of experience in a physician practice setting preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
• Evidence of leadership and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to work evening hours if required.

Responsabilités

• Greet patient and place in exam rooms.
• Perform vital signs with attention to geriatric, neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Document in the EMR using standardized protocols.
• Apply and remove casts; perform dressing changes.
• Draw up injections and discuss cast-related issues with patients.
• Assist with braces application and patient education on cast care.
• Prepare surgical packets and coordinate with hospital staff as needed.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and inventory; support department goals.
