Job summary

Palomar Health Medical Group in Escondido, CA seeks an Orthopedic Technician for per diem coverage in Orthopedics-OSA. You will immobilize patients (casting, splinting, cast removal) and assist physicians with exams and procedures, ensuring safe, efficient care.

The role requires 3+ years in orthopedic care, completion of an accredited Ortho Tech program, and BLS. Proficiency with EMR and MS Windows is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with orthopedic tech program.
• 3+ years orthopedic care experience in acute hospital or clinic.
• BLS - Healthcare Provider certification; NBCOT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient immobilization procedures (casting, splinting, cast removal).
• Assist physicians and NP with procedures and examinations.
• Obtain chief complaint and pertinent information; document patient data.
• Set up and restock exam rooms; prepare lab and X-ray results for review.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and communications.
