Responsibilities

• Applies, adjusts, and removes casts and splints for orthopedic patients and assists with related procedures.
• Maintains supplies in the cast room and treatment rooms, including stocking materials.
• Instructs patients in care of and assists with walking and mobility using casts, braces, and other devices.
• Documents interventions in the medical record and follows provider orders for care.
