Qualifications

• Two years of experience as an Orthopedic Technician within the last three years.
• Knowledge of basic anatomy, fractures, orthopedic equipment, and cast & splints.
• Ability to demonstrate and apply cast application, traction, and orthopedic appliance application.
• Ability to assist in operating room under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with routine and advanced orthopedic procedures.
• Instructs and directs Orthopedic Technician I in casts, traction setups, OR procedures.
• Prepare patients and set up instruments for procedures.
• Record patient data and care in the medical record.
• Provide cast care instructions to patients and assist in ambulation and transfers.
