Job summary

Ortho Colorado Hospital seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to support the operating room under the supervision of the surgeon and RN. You will maintain sterile technique, inventory instruments, pass items to surgeons and nurses, and prepare patients for procedures in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

The role includes on-call coverage, setup of sterile tables, and collaboration with a skilled team across eight ORs. High attention to detail and calm communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Current surgical technology certification is required.
• Strong attention to detail and sterile technique.
• Ability to stay calm and communicate effectively in a fast-paced surgical team.
• Colorado DORA registration for surgical technologists where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain highest standard of sterile technique during procedures.
• Perform counts with circulator before incision and as needed.
• Prepare back table and mayo stand per surgeon's preference card.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and meds/solutions.
• Provide on-call coverage outside standard hours per policy.
• Anticipate problems and prepare for emergent cases that may arise.
