Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to join our perioperative team.

The role focuses on daily involvement in orthopedic surgical cases and post-procedure follow-up to ensure equipment, traction, and staff needs are met on the floor or in the operating room. The ideal candidate has a strong perioperative background, preferably in orthopedics, with HS education and surgical technology certification.

Qualifications

HS education. College Preferred. Surgical Tech or above.
15+ years perioperative experience primarily orthopedics.
Preferred certification in Ortho and surgical technology.

Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Technician will be responsible for daily involvement in all orthopedic surgical cases and follow-up post procedure on floors for evaluation of physician needs met by staff, equipment/traction/PCM, etc. or for calls for casting materials on floor/ER.
OR supplies/instrumentation needs and schedule review as noted in JD.
