St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach is seeking an OR Surgical Technician to assist with surgical instruments in the operating room, under RN and surgeon guidance.

This full-time role supports daily activities and ensures a safe, clean surgical environment. Qualifications include a high school diploma and surgical tech education, with LPN accepted if not a graduate of a surgical tech program; BLS from the American Heart Association is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; surgical tech program required unless LPN with 2+ years in surgery.
• Prefer OR or SPD experience, but not required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse allowed if not a graduate of a surgical tech program.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Implements and follows plan of care
• Maintains a Safe Surgical Environment.
• Maintains a Clean and Orderly Work Environment

The Operating Room Surgical Technician assists with surgical instruments in the OR based on procedure performed, standards, guidelines, and policies set for the unit. He/she functions under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and surgeon.
