Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach is seeking a Surgical Technologist Extern for day shifts. This per diem role supports the surgical team as the main instrument/tech resource under RN supervision.

You will handle instrumentation, prepare supplies for cases, assist with intraoperative care, and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered operating room environment. Prior OR exposure is preferred, certification (AHA BLS) is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; enrolled in or recently graduated from Surgical Technology program; Certification preferred.
• Experience: Previous OR experience preferred.
• Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) BLS

Responsibilities

• Assist with intraoperative care as scrub during procedures.
• Pick supplies/instruments for cases and decontaminate/inventory instruments.
• Stock supplies in OR rooms and support RN in operative care
