St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to join our perioperative team.

The role focuses on daily involvement in orthopedic surgical cases and post-procedure follow-up to ensure equipment, traction, and staff needs are met on the floor or in the operating room. The ideal candidate has a strong perioperative background, preferably in orthopedics, with HS education and surgical technology certification.

Qualifications

• HS education. College Preferred. Surgical Tech or above.
• 15+ years perioperative experience primarily orthopedics.
• Preferred certification in Ortho and surgical technology.

Responsibilities

• The Orthopedic Technician will be responsible for daily involvement in all orthopedic surgical cases and follow-up post procedure on floors for evaluation of physician needs met by staff, equipment/traction/PCM, etc. or for calls for casting materials on floor/ER.
• OR supplies/instrumentation needs and schedule review as noted in JD.
