Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical scheduling for assigned surgeons and for all surgeons.
• Discuss and coordinate surgical dates with patients in coordination with physician schedules.
• Provide patients with information such as cardiac and medical clearance.
• Schedule pre-operative and post-operative appointments including pre-admission testing.
• Obtain pre-certification and verify insurance benefits for commercial/PPO plans.
• Coordinate referrals for patient appointments and surgical procedures.
• Notify staff and arrange for required equipment and surgical supplies.
• Maintain and update the physician's surgical calendar.
