AP Health in Delray Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Surgical Assistant to join our orthopedic surgery team. This is a surgical-only role with no clinic time, requiring a minimum of 2 years as a surgical first assistant in orthopedic procedures.

You will function in the operating room as a surgical first assistant, assist with draping, suturing, and intraoperative care, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of orthopedic surgery experience required.
• Current FL State License or NBSTSA certification.
• Board certified by NCCPA with active BLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Function as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room.
• Position and drape the patient under the direction of the surgeon.
• Suturing and retracting of tissue layers.
• Assist in intra-operative care of the patient by performing assigned technical duties.
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
• Rotating on-call responsibilities.

We partner with facilities to offer service line coverage with highly trained and knowledgeable Advanced Practice Providers to first assist in surgery.

AP Health is seeking a highly experienced Physician Assistant or Surgical Assistant to join our team in Delray Beach, FL. A successful candidate would have at least 2+ years of experience in orthopedic surgery. This job is strictly a surgical only position with no clinic time. What will you do:

• Functions as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room

What do you need:

• 2+ years experience functioning as a surgical first assist in orthopedic surgery
• Current FL State License or active NBSTSA certification
• Board certified by NCCPA
• Active BLS and ACLS
