Job summary

AP Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a strictly surgical position requiring at least 2 years of neurosurgery experience. Responsibilities include assisting in the operating room, conducting patient examinations, and maintaining on-call duties. Candidates must hold a current Florida license, be board certified by NCCPA, and possess active BLS and ACLS certifications. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient positioning and draping.
• Perform suturing and retracting of tissue layers.
• Participate in intra-operative patient care as needed.
• Take part in rotating on-call responsibilities.

AP Health is seeking a highly experienced Physician Assistant to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A successful candidate would have at least 2+ years of experience in neurosurgery. This job is strictly a surgical only position with no clinic time. This is an exciting opportunity to join a distinguished team that delivers top tier care.

What will you do:

• Functions as a Surgical First Assistant in the Operating Room
• Positions and drapes the patient under the direction of the surgeon
• Suturing and retracting of all tissue layers
• Assists in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing technical duties as assigned
• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations
• Rotating on-call responsibilities

What do you need:

• 2+ years experience functioning as a surgical first assist in neurosurgery
• Current FloridaState License
• Board certified by NCCPA
• Active BLS and ACLS
• Comprehensive and flexible medical, dental, and vision insurance
