Qualifications

• Experience in professional/physician coding, focusing on orthopedics.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines.
• Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and payer policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional-fee coding for orthopedic surgical services.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes based on documentation and guidelines.
• Review documentation to ensure correct coding and billing.
• Support reimbursement follow-up, accounts receivable, and collection activities.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer regulations.
• Stay current on coding guidelines, documentation requirements, and payer regulations.
