Job summary

EmergeOrtho, P.A. in Greensboro, NC, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide professional patient care under physician supervision. You will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging for orthopedic patients, document findings, and ensure accurate charging for studies.

Responsibilities include positioning, image optimization, patient education, infection control, and collaboration with physicians to support timely care decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration.
• Licensure/certification as required by North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history, reason for visit and pertinent treatment information prior to exam.
• Position radiographic equipment at correct angle and height over the targeted area.
• Adjust x-ray machine controls to achieve appropriate density, detail and contrast.
• Perform all diagnostic x-rays as indicated by physician and APP.
• Prepare medical records and x-ray films for physician review.
• Maintain infection control policies and procedures.
• Educate patients with oral and written information related to diagnosis and procedures.
• Replenish supplies, clean exam room, and stock at end of day.
• Report supply shortages and other clinical needs to Clinical Manager.
• Ensure lab/test results are obtained and communicated to physicians for timely intervention.
• Ensure documentation and charges reflect the patient encounter and plan of care.
