Job summary

EMERGEORTHO, P.A. in North Carolina is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide professional patient care under physician supervision in an orthopedic setting. You will perform diagnostic imaging, document studies, and ensure accurate charges.

You will work PRN, travel to office locations as assigned, maintain infection control, educate patients, and keep records up to date while upholding HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (per posting).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required (per posting).
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic technologist training program.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registration.
• Licensure and/or certification as required by the State of North Carolina.
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to perform procedures.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and contraindications for patients and visitors.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient medical history before physician exam.
• Position radiographic equipment correctly over the body area.
• Adjust X-ray controls to achieve appropriate density, detail, and contrast.
• Perform all diagnostic X-rays as indicated by physician or APP.
• Prepare medical records and X-ray films for physician review.
• Maintain infection control compliance.
• Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, procedures, and medications.
• Replenish supplies and clean exam room after each patient per guidelines.
• Inform Clinical Manager of supply shortages and other needs.
• Ensure lab and diagnostic test results are obtained and communicated to physicians.
• Ensure documentation and charges reflect the encounter and plan.
• Follows department policies, maintains patient confidentiality, and uses practice software.
• May require travel to multiple office locations and overtime as directed.
