Job summary

New Mexico Orthopaedic Associates P C seeks a qualified Physical Therapist to assess, plan, organize and participate in orthopaedic rehabilitation programs at Winrock Clinic in Albuquerque. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited college or university.
• 1–2 years’ experience preferred.
• New Mexico License to practice physical therapy and CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Plans and evaluates patient treatment program in coordination with medical staff.
• Confer with physician to integrate therapy with other health care aspects.
• Evaluate patient needs, discuss condition and treatment plans with physicians.
• Test and record strength, motor development, sensory perception, and functional capacity.
• Document care, maintain patient records and discharge summaries.
• Educate patients and families on proper care and exercise programs.
• Evaluate charts and bill patients according to procedures.
• Maintain quality assurance, safety, infection control.
• Conduct clinic educational programs.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Attend required meetings and participate in committees.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and NMOA policy.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
