Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• New Mexico license and CPR certification required.
• HIPAA awareness and patient confidentiality expected.
• Ability to work with patients across treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of treatment plans, document progress, and modify treatments as directed by a PT.
• Instruct, motivate and assist patients with modalities, rehabilitative activities and exercises.
• Utilize treatments to restore, improve and maintain functioning and reduce pain.
• Collaborate with patients, medical staff to plan, implement and assess interventions.
• Document care and patient information in compliance with HIPAA and policies.
• Observe patients during treatments and report progress to the physical therapist.
• Assist with patient transport and ensure attendance and compliance with plans.
• Maintain patient safety, facility cleanliness and participate in meetings/quality plans.
