Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners in Peabody, MA seeks an experienced operating room nurse for Per Diem shifts at our surgical center. You will support pre-op activities, assist with intraoperative care as scrub and circulating nurse, and ensure aseptic technique and proper documentation.

Requirements include a nursing degree, Massachusetts RN license, and BLS. OR nursing experience, HIPAA familiarity, EMR skills, and strong communication with patients and staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of operating room nursing experience preferred.
• Massachusetts RN license required; BLS certification required.
• Familiar with HIPAA and regulatory policies.
• Experience with electronic medical records and office software.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient management in the surgical center.
• Pre-op calls to patients when possible.
• Collaborates with front office on intake.
• Assists with pre-op assessment and teaching.
• Supports interoperative nursing care and sterile field maintenance.
• Handles equipment preparation and instrument counts.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Documents patient records clearly and maintains confidentiality.
