Job summary

Spire Orthopedic Partners is seeking an Entry-level Unit Assistant for the Peabody, MA surgical center. You will support RNs and surgical technologists with day-to-day perioperative tasks, patient prep, and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include assisting in pre/postoperative areas, operating room, and sterile central, while adhering to infection control policies and professional etiquette.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS required.
• One-year medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN in implementing the plan of care during the perioperative experience.
• Assist nurses in preoperative and postoperative areas as required.
• Assist in the operating room and sterile central.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and privacy.
• Provide patient safety in all job activities.
• Cooperate with OR team to achieve Surgi Center goals.
• Follow infection control policies andUniversal Precautions.
• Prepare preoperative patients and manage belongings.
