Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Physician Assistant to support orthopedic care across clinic and hospital settings. The PA will work under supervising physicians, perform initial evaluations, assist in surgery, and coordinate patient care in outpatient and inpatient environments.

Qualified candidates hold an Illinois PA license, NCCPA certification, and a MS in Physician Assistant Studies; ACLS CPR are desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program with completed residency.
• Physician Assistant IL state licensure up to date.
• Active NCCPA certification.
• ACLS desirable; CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgeon by rounding on patients in the hospital as directed.
• Perform hospital consults and assist in major and minor surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Provide outpatient clinic support, dictate notes, order tests, and develop treatment plans with physician approval.
• Coordinate patient discharge and ensure proper documentation in the medical record.
• Perform wound care, injections, and minor procedures within licensure scope.
