Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute is seeking a Physician Assistant to support orthopedic surgeons in outpatient clinics and the OR. The PA will provide direct patient care, follow physician protocols, and assist in both hospital and clinic settings.

Qualifications include IL licensure, NCCPA certification, and a PA residency in orthopedics. Experience in musculoskeletal care and EHR proficiency are preferred. IBJI offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program with completed residency.
• Illinois state licensure as Physician Assistant.
• Active certification by NCCPA is required.
• At least 2 years in a physician office or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Surgeon by rounding on patients in the hospital as directed.
• Perform hospital consults and assist with major/minor surgical procedures.
• Coordinate patient discharge planning and post-operative care with physicians.
• Dictate clinic notes, discharge summaries, and orders.
• Review lab results, imaging, and MRIs to support patient care.
