Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC seeks a Physician Assistant to support our orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction. The PA will provide direct patient care in clinic and hospital settings, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and therapists to optimize treatment plans.

The role requires clinic and operating room duties, with responsibilities spanning evaluations, injections, and perioperative care, under physician supervision. Travel to partner locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program.
• Illinois state licensure and NCCPA certification.
• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies required.
• Experience in orthopedic care and surgical assistance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon in hospital and outpatient settings.
• Perform preoperative evaluations and postoperative care.
• Dictate clinic notes, discharge summaries, and orders.
• Order tests and manage patient care plans with physician approval.
• Coordinate patient care between office and hospital and ensure proper documentation.
