Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute LLC seeks a PRN Physician Assistant to support our orthopedic surgeons in hospital and clinic settings. You will provide direct patient care, assist in surgery, and coordinate care with the clinical team.

The ideal candidate has an accredited PA degree with residency, NCCPA certification, Illinois licensure, and experience in orthopedic care. Strong communication and organization are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program with completed residency.
• Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies required.
• Active NCCPA certification and Illinois PA licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional patient care and assist physicians in outpatient and hospital settings.
• Assist surgeons in operating rooms and participate in pre/post-operative care.
• Order tests, interpret results, and develop patient treatment plans with physician approval.
• Dictate progress notes, manage patient communications and follow-up care.
• Coordinate patient care between clinic and hospital per protocols.
